The Big 12 Conference needs a conference championship

On ESPN.com, the Big 12 is trying to establish a conference championship game with the ten teams they currently have in the conference. Due to the TV contracts they have, each school is receiving even amounts of money throughout the conference. Commissioner Bowlsby want the NCAA to allow the Big 12 to have a conference championship game because of the conference tie between Kansas State and Oklahoma last year (K-State receiving the automatic bid to the BCS due to the head-to-head win over OU).

However, I think the conference should ask for two more schools to join the conference because they can use the North and South divisions they previously had a few years ago. Therefore, the Big 12 can be officially known as the Big 12 by having two more members.

Please comment on this post. I really want to hear your opinions about the whole conference realignment in college football.

The Future of the Big East in 2014

On the ESPN app, college athletic conference; Big East is planning on a twelfth member. However, I think the conference may not survive even with the twelfth member because Syracuse and Pittsburgh, two founding members of the Big East are leaving for the ACC conference after the 2013 college football season.

In order for the Big East to survive, especially in football is for teams like Louisville and Cincinnati to stay in the conference because based off what I have seen from last season Louisville and Cincinnati are really the only two teams to carry the banner for the Big East. Also, the team that should join the Big East in football to solidify the conference is Villinova because they are already a powerhouse in men's basketball. To find out more about the Big East, check out your ESPN app on your Smart Phones or Windows Phones.

Please comment on what you think about this post. I would really like to hear your opinions.

The NFL Pro Bowl should have big impact on League

Last night's Pro Bowl was a joke considering the score was 62(NFC) to 35(AFC). Also, Al Micheals and Chris Collinsworth spoke about the Pro Bowl and that the Commissioner of the NFL; Roger Goodell was going to pull the plug on the game because last year's Pro Bowl was considered a joke to general sports fans. Personally, I think the game should be played in the middle of the regular season like Major League Baseball, but whoever wins the game, that conference should have home field advantage in the Super Bowl.

For example, this years Super Bowl between the San Francisco 49ers and the Baltimore Ravens should be played at the 49ers football field and not at the Superdome in New Orleans because the NFC defeated the AFC in the Pro Bowl. Therefore, the Pro Bowl should have bigger implications and drama for the right of any conference team to host the Super Bowl in their hometown.
