The negative things about the videos is that on an ad for Hillary Clinton, they used a quote from Harry S. Truman instead of using a quote in which Hillary Clinton is speaking to the people. Also, her opponent, Barack Obama's ad failed to have his voice speaking many times because he only spoke once during the entire ad about the people of the U.S.
Both ads tend to use good advocacy because both candidates sounded honest about fixing the U.S. economy and they both oppose the war in Iraq and want to bring the troops home.

Aristotle vs. Maslow- COM 317
Maslow's self- actualization is defined as making a person design his or her own lifestyle. For example, if a person purchases a product because he or she likes it, then Malsow would say that the person who bought it can develop his or her own image based on what the product is that captures his or her interests.
However, Aristotle believes that a good life is when a person develops something on his or her own and uses it to the fullest extent. Basically, if a person learns something on his or her own, then he or she should stick with it and not go out a purchase something that can ruin his or her image around others.
I think attaining self- actualization depends on a person's attitude and how they view life in general, but also decide whether or not they feel that they need to purchase a pair of shoes just to fit in with the "in crowd."

Carl Hiaasen
Carl Hiaasen believes that reporters should just cover a lot of stories and not take a side of good or evil, but just report the cold hard facts to get the truth out about the story. In other words, reporters have to be neutral while writing a story so that their emotions will not interfere with their work.
One issue Carl Hiaasen has that he has a strong sense of what is right and what is wrong because he witnessed several events such as President Kennedy's assassination and the impeachment of Richard Nixon. These two events are what made his ability to visualize about what actions or words are right and which ones are wrong stronger, but also which is the proper method to write a story for a newspaper.
